8/23/24 Announcements Our Journalism class will take over announcements on Monday, August 26th. The class will be preparing announcements during first period and they will be sent out/announced by 9:30 a.m. If you are interested in taking the PSAT you must pre-register and pay the $18.00 fee by August 30 in the Guidance Office. The test will take place on October 29 at Zane Trace High School. You must pre-register to be able to take the test. Our ZT Band Boosters are hosting their 13th Annual Car Show tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. Athletics/Events 8/22/24 Boys’ soccer defeated McClain, 6-0! Girls’ golf won their tri-match with a score of 215. 8/21/24 Announcements We had a great first day! Reminders: You have four school days to make any changes to your schedule. If you are a student driver, please get your parking permit by August 30th. The second floor bathroom closes during lunch. All students are to stay on the first floor during lunch time. Staff will accompany you, if you need to go to an upper floor during lunch time. 8/20/24 Announcements Welcome back!! I hope everyone had a great summer! A few reminders as we get ready to embark on another great year. 1. Think positive, be positive. 2. Help and encourage each other. 3. Get involved. We have a lot of clubs, sports, and activities that go on. 4. A reminder that there are no cell phones permitted in classrooms or in the hallways, unless a teacher gives you permission to use them for educational purposes. Overall, you did great with this board policy last school year. 5. Please remember to use SmartPass when requesting a hall pass. A hall pass must be visible when you use a pass. 6. If you are a student driver, make sure you get your parking permit. The cost is $5. You have until August 30th to purchase a pass before Dr. Jones starts checking the lot for permits. 7. Zane Trace High School New Teacher Spotlight! Mrs. Amanda Seebohm Hello! I am excited to join this amazing staff and look forward to an engaging and rewarding year with my students. I will be teaching Biology and Biology II, focusing on cultivating a deep understanding of scientific inquiry. My goal is to help students see science as a dynamic process of asking questions, investigating phenomena, and using evidence to build thoughtful explanations. I am a lifetime resident of Ross county and am starting year 23 teaching science.
