On Tuesday Sept. 8th, the ZTHS NHS will be sponsoring the Red Cross Blood drive. All NHS members please sign up in the NHS google classroom to work during the blood drive.
Anyone interested in donating who is age 16, see Mrs. Lashley for a parent permission form. Older students can email Bristol Britton or Mrs. Lashley for a donation time.


This Thursday during lunch we will be holding a tie the tie competition. If you are interested in competing against other students who can tie a tie the fastest and the best, please sign up with Ms. Black. The Social Media Communications class will be taking pictures and videos to post on their ZT Media accounts. If you do well on Thursday, you will be able to move onto the finals on Friday during lunch.


A reminder that current student drivers need to have a parking pass by this Friday, September 4th.


MADE - Drug Free Club Applications are currently being accepted for the 2026-2027 school year. You can pick up an application in the High School Office or room 145. All students who turn in their application and money will be entered into a drawing. We will draw 4 names on September 23rd during lunch and those 4 students will get their homecoming ticket reimbursed by MADE.


There will be a meeting in Mrs. Mowery's room, Room 269, during lunch on September 2 for any junior interested in running for a junior class officer position. Juniors who are interested in running but cannot attend the meeting can email or visit Mrs. Mowery's room by September 4 to receive the materials from the meeting.

Students- We will be soon renovating the library for another use beginning in the 2027-2028 school year. If you are interested in having any books in the library, you are welcome to visit the library and collect books of interest. We are also currently working on establishing a BookHive for our books.

Our varsity volleyball team improved to 2-0 with with a win over Vinton County last night! Our Lady Pioneers won in three sets with scores of 25-13, 25-8, 25-21.

The junior varsity volleyball team picked up a win in two sets to improve to 2-0 on season as well.


Congrats to our boys soccer team on their win over McClain, 4-2!

Welcome back!

We hope everyone had a great summer!

A few reminders: If you are a student driver, you have until September 4th to purchase your parking permit before me or Deputy Thomas begin checking parking passes in the lot. Parking permit applications are in the office. Cost is $5.

If you need to change your schedule, you have until the end of the day on Wednesday, August 26th to change your schedule.

If you arrive at school before 7:30 a.m., you need to report to either the high school gym or the cafeteria. No standing in the hallways or stairwells. The release bell to class is at 7:30 a.m.

Please abide by the dress code. Common dress code violations (shirts exposing midriffs, hats, and holes in the jeans above fingertip length)

Any student interested in pre registering for the PSAT needs to register with Mrs. DePugh. The cost is $18. The last day to register is September 3.

The Atomic Credit Union Student-Run program returns this year! If you are interested in a position, there are applications in the office. Please have applications returned to the office by Friday, August 28th.

We have some new bi-weekly PBIS rewards this year! You can earn tickets for perfect attendance each week. Our teachers may give you a ticket also if they feel you have done something exceptional in their class. When you earn a ticket, put your name on it and then turn it into the office to enter yourself into the drawing. We will draw names every two weeks, starting September 4th. There will be a variety of prizes for you to select!

Congratulations to the 7th-12th Grade Zane Trace Marching Band on a great performance at the Ross County Fair on Monday, August 10th. They have been putting in a lot of work throughout July and have had a great start to their season!

They would like to invite everyone to breakfast on Saturday, August 15th at the ZT Sausage Booth (7am-2pm) and to their Car Wash on Sunday, August 16th by Steak 'n Shake (10am-2pm). Portions of all proceeds will go towards replacing their current marching band uniforms, yearly operating costs, and their next Florida trip.

Their next big event is the 15th Annual ZT Band Boosters Car and Bike Show held at Zane Trace High School on Saturday, August 29th. The 7th-12th Grade Marching Band will perform at 12:30pm. They will be serving great food and have activities for kids of all ages.

Hello! My name is Lyndsey Miller and I'll be teaching English I this year. I've been substitute teaching the past few years and I am excited for this new position.
