Spanish classes today created "ofrendas" (offerings) for "Día de los Muertos" (Day of the Dead). It is a two day holiday (November 1st and 2nd) when many families in Mexico remember their loved ones who have passed away. It is more of a celebration of life rather than a time of mourning. I'm very proud of their efforts in putting these together!

The ZT Band has dinner and entertainment figured out for you on Monday, November 10th! Everyone is invited to participate in our Chick-fil-A Sandwich Fundraiser! Proceeds go towards replacing the current marching band uniforms. Each uniform is $600-$700. We hope to purchase 50 as soon as possible.

Orders are due by Friday, October 31st! We will have a limited amount of extra sandwiches available that day if some folks miss out on the presale.

Here is a link to place orders through a Google Form: https://forms.gle/za3G17UMRS262ZGL6

Pick up hot sandwiches from 6:15pm-7:00pm on Monday, November 10th. There will be chips and drinks available for $1 at pick up. You are welcome to eat the sandwiches in the cafetorium and enjoy a great, free concert at 7pm.

The 8th-12th Grade Marching Band will be playing songs from throughout the season, including songs by Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, The Offspring, Gustav Holst, and more ZTMB classics.

Enjoy free dessert at the end!

No pressure to stick around, but we hope you do. :)

No School on Tuesday, 11/11/25 in honor of Veterans' Day.

If you aren't a fan of Chick-fil-A, but would like to help us raise money for uniforms, donations can be made at any time through this link (there are no extra hidden fees or processing fees, 100% of the donation goes to the band, Zane Trace Band Boosters is a 501(c)3 organization and all donations are tax-deductable): https://cuttime.simpleraise.com/stores/1630-zane-trace-band-donation-center/products/1522

Atomic Credit Union visits ZTHS every Wednesday to help facilitate the Atomic Credit Union Student-Run Program.

Below is information about the program!

Incentives

Once a month Atomic Student-Run gives out incentives. Each student that makes a deposit that week will receive an incentive. (prize) The week of October 20th, the elementary school will receive a pumpkin eraser pencil topper, and the Middle/HS will receive candy. Each month the incentive will be something different.

Goals

The goal for your school is 300 deposits for this 2025-2026 school year. This is a goal of 300 deposits, not three hundred dollars. If the school hits 300 deposits Atomic will bring in a cash machine into your school, and 3 members will be picked to participate in the Cash Machine. Each member that is picked will receive 30 seconds to catch as much money as they can. What each of them catch, will be deposited into each of their savings’ account that day!

Youth Savings Month

October is Youth Savings Month at Atomic Student-Run. The theme this year is “DREAM BIG, SAVE BIGGER” We have a coloring page at our table each week for the students to pick up if they want to participate. The information is on the Front Page of the Coloring Sheet. We will have one winner for several age groups. (K-2nd, 3rd-5th, 6th-8th & 9th-12th) The winners will each win a $25 Atomic Visa Card. The participates will need to have their drawing dropped off to us by October 31st. You do not have to be an Atomic member to participate in this.
