Here are several more projects that have either been completed or in the process of being completed in and around our Zane Trace Athletic Complex. Some of these are items may go unnoticed until pointed out. Each little improvement counts!

First, check out the new flag pole and American Flag located on Agony Hill next to our Zane Trace Athletic Complex! The flag and pole are a lot bigger than our old version.

The bleachers and bathrooms in our athletic complex have both received new paint jobs! Thanks to Hatton Painting and Repair and our maintenance staff! The bleacher paint project is in it's final stages and should be completed soon.

There are new wooden benches being built for our baseball dugouts and new fence was put in down the first base line of the baseball field. Trevor Thomas has been building the benches for the teams. Thanks, Mr. Thomas!

The maintenance building that sits in our student parking lot has been painted red and blue! At the softball field, the retaining wall behind home plate has been painted blue. Thanks to Corey Gahm and crew!

Our maintenance staff has been working very hard all summer to get the building ready for the new school year. During the summer months, they wax the floors of each classroom and all of the hallways. They have also been going around the building touching up areas that need repainted, cleaned, and tend to any other repairs requested by the rest of the staff.

The first floor restrooms near the high school gym have also been repainted by Edwards and Son Contracting. They are also painting other restrooms around campus.

Our building is ready for the new school year, thanks to the hard work of a variety of people! We still have a few other projects in the works and there will be more updates later this summer.

The parking lot surrounding Zane Trace Local School District has been repaved and our student parking spots have been numbered! G & J Paving has also repaved the walkway areas at our Zane Trace Sports Complex. In addition to the numbering of student parking spots, more handicap spots will soon be added in the parking lot next to the baseball field. This paving project is still in the works, so try not to park in a lot where you see the paving crew working.

The high school gym has overgone a makeover, thanks to several outside companies and our maintenance department! If you make a visit to our gym, you will notice the floor was recently waxed and the walkway around the upper level has been painted. The railings on the second level have also been painted.

Next, check out our new mats at both ends of the gym! The ZT Athletic Boosters chipped in and helped with the purchase of the new wall mats ! Thanks, ZT Athletic Boosters!

The locker rooms that our volleyball and boys and girls basketball teams use have new flooring installed! These positive changes go well with the weight room behind our home bleachers that has gradually grown. One of two weight rooms on campus for our students and staff. Lastly, if you walk by the concession stand in our main hallway you will notice two giant ZT Pioneer logos smiling at you! Carve Your Path!

While the students and staff are out for the summer, it is still very busy at ZTHS! Over the next few weeks, there will be posts regarding the many improvements/upgrades that are taking place with the help of our staff in the maintenance and technology departments! Plus, all of the outside businesses that helped with the variety of projects going on.

This first post is in regards to the new SMART Interactive Displays and curriculum arriving in classrooms this year! The new SMART Interactive Displays have been installed in every classroom! These displays replace the smartboards that have been in the classrooms for at least 10 years.

The new curriculum has arrived and ready for use in American Government and World History. New curriculum for Biology will arrive before the start of the school year!

The Zane Trace High School Parent Advisory Committee for the 2025-2026 school year is set. The current committee is at the cap of 15 parents. Awesome! We greatly appreciate how many parents want to be part of this committee. The committee meets once per month during the school year with the building principal and has provided a lot of valuable insight over the past two school years. The committee has also brought ideas to the meetings that have been implemented. Examples would include the ACT Workshops and the Student-Run Atomic Credit Union program that will begins this coming year.

We appreciate the support and input from our parents and community! The more involvement we have from everyone, the better we serve our students.

Below is a link to ZTHS Parent Advisory Committee page found on our high school webpage. All meeting minutes from the past two school years are posted.
