Announcements
The student council will be attending the Ohio Statehouse tomorrow! Today also marks the first day of the student council's annual food drive. Boxes are in each first period class. The class with the most food brought in will win a donut party!
Today is the last day to buy a MADE candy bag at lunch time!
Good luck to the Zane Trace Quiz Bowl Team in their match with Adena tonight!
The first nine weeks PBIS rewards party is this Friday at 1 p.m. The list of students that earned the reward was shared in the Google Classroom set up for each class. There will be pizza, drinks, and activities like cornhole set up in the gym.

The annual M.A.D.E. Rally was today in downtown Chillicothe and we may have brought our largest group yet to the rally to represent ZTHS! There were 186 Pioneers that attended the rally sponsored by the Drug Free Clubs of America. Thank you to Mrs. Shelly Morton, Mrs. Kathy Wolfe, and Mrs. Lauren Park for all you do as the advisors of our M.A.D.E. club! Students interested in joining M.A.D.E. can contact one of our advisors.


The fourth edition of the Zane Trace High School Newsletter has expanded to two pages. .
Topics included in the newsletter include the Zane Trace Career Day, athletics, ACT Workshop, M.A.D.E., and the success of the ZT Quiz team.
The November 2023 edition of the newsletter will begin showing up in locations in the community this weekend.

Announcements
The MADE Rally is today. Students attending the rally will get called down by grade level towards the end of 1st period. If students arrive back to school before 1:45 p.m., students will report to 8th period class. If students arrive back after 1:45 p.m, they will stay in the high school gym. Seniors will be dismissed once they return.
Our Academic Wall of Fame is now visible on the first floor hall. The wall of fame honors valedictorians, salutatorians, and students that achieve a score of 25 or higher on the ACT test each school year.
Powerlifting practices begin on Monday at 3:00 p.m. in the field house for those students not currently participating in a fall sport.

Junior Class officers will meet today in Mrs. Wolfe's room at lunch time.
MADE will be selling bags of candy through October 31st. The bags are $2 each and will be available at lunch time outside the high school office.
The MADE rally is tomorrow! If you have an application and money, make sure you turn it by the end of the day!
Student Council permission slips are due on Friday.
The first nine weeks PBIS award will take place next Friday, November 3rd at 1:00 p.m. in the high school gym. The reward will be a pizza party and activities in the gym.

Announcements
BPA members who plan to attend the BPA event with the Columbus Blue Jackets need to have your money turned in to either Ms. Black or Mrs. Thornton by Thursday 10/26.
There will be a powder puff football practice on Wednesday, October 25th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. up on the practice field. The last day to order shirts will also be on October 25th. The practice is for all students participating in the powder puff football event.

The Zane Trace FFA Chapter had another successful experience at the 116th Annual Circleville Pumpkin Show!
Individual Award Winners
Ellie Doles-Grand Champion in the Junior Pumpkin Pie Bake-off
Lily Rose-Best of Show in the Junior Canned Goods competition.
Kendra Detillion- First place in her division of the Junior Canned Goods competition.
Kailee Adkins-First place in her division of the Junior Canned Goods competition.
Charley Clyne-Third place in his division of the Junior Canned Goods competition.
Cora Pelletier- Third place in the Junior Mini-Pie competition.
The ZT FFA placed first in green beans and second place in hot peppers and green peppers. They also placed third in Hungarian Wax Peppers and red peppers. Isaac Detty and Delaney McCluskey picked out the veggies!
Thirty-Five members of the chapter participated in the parade this past Thursday by riding on the hay wagon float the chapter designed.

Our football team defeated Paint Valley, 34-31. They now host Middletown Madison on Friday at 7pm in a first round playoff game.
Wyatt Vick qualified for the Division II Regional Cross Country meet this weekend at Pickerington North H.S. after he placed 21st at the district meet held at Rio Grande. He will run at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday.
Our cheerleaders put on a show at the first ever SVC Cheer Showcase.

Let's congratulate, Wyatt Vick, on placing 21st at the OHSAA Division II District Cross Country meet today, hosted by Rio Grande. Wyatt ran the course in 17:46 minutes and competed against 169 boys. The boys finished 11th out of 22 teams. Our girls finished 19th.
Wish him luck as he will now compete at the OHSAA Division II Regional Cross Country meet which is next Saturday, October 28th at Pickerington North High School. The division II boys run at 12:45 p.m.
