Daily Announcements
The Varsity Girls Track practices will begin Monday, February 23rd from 2:15 to 4:00pm. Please meet in Mrs. Payton's room after school and arrange to be picked up at the track at 4:00pm all week.
Shawnee State University will be at Zane Trace High School during our lunch on Tuesday, March 3 to meet with juniors and seniors. Please fill out the google form in your google classroom if you are interested in speaking with them. See Mrs. DePugh with any questions.
A reminder to all seniors: Please complete your graduation ceremony form (google) as soon as possible.
Boys track will start Monday. Be out to the fieldhouse by 2:30 and will go to 4. Must have a physical on file to Practice. They will need sweat pants, hoodies and a toboggan.
Cheerleading Clinics for tryouts will be held March 10th and March 11th from 5pm to 7pm in the Middle School gym. March 13th from 5pm to 7pm in the HIgh School gym
Cheerleading Tryouts will be held March 14th beginning at 10 am in the Middle School gym Please wear a white t-shirt and black shorts for tryouts.
The 7th-12th Grade Band OMEA Preview Concert is tonight at 7pm in the Middle School Gym. Call Mrs. Waller to place a last minute Chick-fil-A order before the end of the school day. Chick-fil-A orders will be ready to pick up from 6:15-7:00pm tonight!
Attention all BPA students. This is a friendly reminder your permission slips and payment are due for the Special Olympics Bowl-a-thon and the Downtown Takeover by this Friday February 27th. Please note that there will be no extensions granted. Students who do not submit their slips and money by this Friday, will not be permitted to attend. Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our Chick-fil-A fundraiser! If you missed out on the presale and would like to enjoy Chick-fil-A sandwiches for dinner on Thursday, there will be 17 extra sandwiches available for purchase from 6:15pm-7:00pm. Call Mrs. Waller at 740-775-1809 ext. 2194 if you'd like to purchase one of the extra sandwiches. There may be time to order more sandwiches when we pick up the order that we placed last week. They are $7 each. Pickles and sauces will be available on the side. There will be chips and beverages for sale as well.
The Zane Trace Band Boosters and students are working hard to raise money to replace the marching band uniforms and annual operating fees. Donations are always appreciated. If you aren't a fan of Chick-fil-A and would like to assist in this fundraiser, you can donate directly to the band anytime through the uniform donation drive:

This concert is a preview performance of what the 8th-12th grade will perform next Saturday, March 7th in the Miami Trace High School Auditorium at 10:25 AM.
The 7th and 8th Grade Band will perform their songs as smaller ensembles on Saturday, April 18th at Chillicothe Middle School. Times will be determined once we have registered.

The boys basketball team defeated Lynchburg Clay last night by a score of 47-37. The boys advanced in the district tournament and will now face Eastern Brown in the Convocation Center at Ohio University on Monday, the 2nd of March, at 8:00 PM. BE THERE!

The BPA chapter is hosting a donut and hot chocolate fundraiser this Friday in front of the teacher's lounge. The proceeds support the Ross County Special Olympics.
Today is the last day to place Chick-fil-A Orders through the ZT Band presale. The 5th-12th Grade Band is raising money to replace uniforms. Sandwiches will be ready for pick-up before the 7th-12th Grade OMEA Winter Preview Concert next Thursday, February 26th, from 6:15-7:00. The concert will begin at 7 pm. There will be chips and beverages available for purchase at pick-up to round out the meal. Scan the QR code on the posters or visit the ZT Website to place orders online through the link. Cash or a check can be given to Mrs. Waller. Payment can also be made by Venmo or PayPal. Thank you for your support!
The Esports team qualified three teams for state competition this year. Our chess team was defeated in the quarter finals on Wednesday. Two of our Fortnite teams compete in the club state finals on Monday, the 23rd.
The BPA will host a donut and hot chocolate sale tomorrow from morning until the items sell out. It will be $2 for each item.

The Zane Trace 5th-12th Grade Band is currently running a Chick-fil-A Fundraiser on Thursday, the 26th, before the 7th-12th Grade Band Winter OMEA Preview Concert. The sandwiches will be ready to pick up or consume from 6:15-7:00pm outside the Middle School Gym. Sandwiches are $7 each. There will be Pepsi products and a variety of chips available for $1 each as well.

Payment can be made with cash/checks (Zane Trace Band Boosters) and given to Mrs. Waller or paid online with a credit card to David Houts (Venmo: @davidhouts, paypal: @DvdHts). He will be picking up the sandwiches in a heated bag on Thursday and the sandwiches will be kept in the heated bag during the pick-up time. Pickles and sauces will be available on the side.
The 7th-12th Grade Band OMEA Preview Concert is Thursday, February 26th at 7pm in the Middle School Gym. The Junior High Band will play 2-3 short pieces. The 8th-12th Grade Band will play 4 relatively short pieces. The 8th-12th Grade Band will perform these pieces again for Ohio Music Education Association District 16 Large Group Adjudicated Events on Saturday, March 7th at 10:25am at Miami Trace High School. The Junior High Band will perform their pieces as smaller ensembles for OMEA District 16 Junior High Solo and Ensemble at Chillicothe Middle School on Saturday, April 18th. All events are free and open to the public!

Congratulations to the swim team! Thirteen members placed and scored points in the OHSAA Division II Sectional Swim Meet. Many personal records were set.
The girls swim team placed 8th out of 20 teams.
