Congratulations to Zane Pickerrell! Zane was selected by the Ross-Pike ESD as Ross County’s Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Award Recipient. One senior from each of the 88 counties in Ohio receives the award annually for their academic achievement, personal accomplishments, and community service.
Those students who received an ACT score of 25 or higher during the recent assessment will be given the opportunity to put their name on the Zane Trace High School Academic Wall of Fame this week. Be prepared to smile big, you earned it!
Our Hope Squad will have a mandatory meeting in Mrs. Wolfe’s room on Wednesday at lunch.

Our varsity baseball team defeated Westfall, 5-0, to improve to 5-0 in the SVC and 10-1 overall.

The 35th Annual Franklin B. Walter All-Scholastic Awards Ceremony was held today at the Nationwide Hotel & Conference Center in Lewis Center, Ohio.
The ceremony honors one senior from each of Ohio's eighty-eight counties for their academic achievement, personal accomplishments, and community service.
Zane Pickerrell was chosen by the Ross-Pike Educational Service Center to represent Ross County at the annual event!
Zane will be attending the United States Air Force Academy this fall.

Seniors!
You are just about in your final month here at ZT! Here are some upcoming events and things you need to know.
Senior Dates:
Class Night- Thursday, May 9 at 7 p.m. in the cafetorium.
Chromebook Turn-In- Friday, May 10 at 8 a.m. in the media center.
School issued Chromebooks need to be turned in for seniors to participate in graduation. Any fees owed also need to be paid.
Seniors' Last day of school- Tuesday, May 14
Kings Island Trip- Wednesday, May 15 - Mrs. Kelly Congrove is organizing the trip.
Senior Walk- Friday, May 17 at 10:30 a.m. All seniors report to the elementary playground. Mrs. Susan Congrove will lead you through the elementary halls. You will then be lead to the graduation practice.
Graduation Practice- Friday, May 17 11:00 a.m.
The practice will begin after the senior walk through the elementary.
Graduation- Saturday, May 18 6:00 p.m.

Our prom promise activity is scheduled for today for our juniors and seniors at 8:30 a.m. All juniors and seniors will be dismissed at 8:15 a.m. and they will report to the hill leading up to the softball diamond. After the activities outside are complete, the juniors and seniors will report to the gym to listen to a guest speaker. At the conclusion of the prom promise activity, the seniors are free to leave.
Our Jr/Sr. Prom is scheduled for Saturday, April 13th at 7 p.m. at Bell Manor. The Grand March will begin at 6 p.m. in the high school gym.

Class of 2024 Spotlight
Hannah Williamson
Hannah is currently working full time at CareCore as an STNA and is on job placement. Hannah will graduate from Zane Trace High School and Pickaway Ross-CTC. Hannah has maintained high honors all while cheering and competitive dancing at TSOD and working full time. She plans to further her career in nursing after graduation.





The baseball and softball games scheduled for tonight against Adena have been postponed. A make up date is yet to be determined.

The Andy Haines Memorial Track Meet scheduled for tonight at Paint Valley High School has been canceled due to the impending weather.

Zane Trace Prom Promise Activity- Friday, April 12, 2024
On Friday, April 12th, at 8:30 a.m. there will be a mock crash staged in the parking lot between the baseball and softball diamonds. The mock crash is part of a prom promise activity for our juniors and seniors. The Ross County Sheriff's Department and Ohio State Highway Patrol will be present and helping facilitate the event. Emergency personnel will be on campus and near the scene, but remember it is a drill prepared for our students. The drill should be over before 9:30 a.m.
We are asking all students that normally park in the lot the drill will take place to park in the parking lot closest to the field house.
After the event concludes, the juniors and seniors will report to the high school gym to listen to a guest speaker and sign the prom promise. All seniors will be released to go home after the event.
