Seventh grade artists created paper mache masks by covering a balloon with strips of newspaper dipped in wheat paste.
Once the masks were formed, the students covered them with words and pictures that represent different aspects of their personality, their favorite things, stories about their lives and their hopes and dreams.
October 20 is Picture Retakes for ZTMS
Mrs. Corcoran's 8th grade English class, as part of their study of the novel, A Long Walk to Water, attempted to carry a can of water about 50 feet. This experience was to help the students understand the life of the 11-year-old main character in the story. While reading the story, the students are learning about the issues with water availability around the world and how those issues affect the people and communities.
