We have had an exciting year of band events and as we wind down for the year, we want to spread the word about some important events we have planned over the next couple of weeks. Please spread the word to anyone who might be interested!

Join us on Wednesday, April 30th for the 5th-12th Grade Band Spring Concert at 7pm in the Zane Trace High School Gym! Admission is free. There will be a bake sale available from 6pm-7pm and between groups. Help us celebrate the hard work of our students, especially the seniors!
Swing by the ZT Band Car Wash on Sunday, April 27th from 10am-2pm! The band is raising money for new uniforms and yearly operating expenses. Car washes are by donation and everyone gets a coupon for a free Steak 'n Shake milkshake! They will be washing cars in the Verizon Parking Lot behind Steak 'n Shake. (981 N. Bridge St.).

Another broken record for the boys 4x200m relay! Ryker Larson, Aiden McCloy, Grayson Burchett, and Case Woods recorded a new time of 140.7 at the Logan Elm Invitational.
👟Track season is heating up for the ZT Pioneers! Sophia Williams and Aiden McCloy have been named Meet Medalist several times. Three school records have been broken as well: girls 4x100, girls 4x200, and girls 4x400. Congrats to the ladies setting the pace for relays: Sophia Williams, Gabi Mathis, Mallory French, Ava Wiget, and Marilynn Snider.

Congratulations to the 4th Period Junior High Band members who participated in Ohio Music Education Association's District 16 Solo and Ensemble Adjudicated Events on Saturday, April 5th at Chillicothe Middle School! Everyone who performed received a Superior or Excellent rating on at least one of their performances! We are proud of how everyone performed, supported each other, and behaved throughout the day. It takes a lot of courage to perform for adjudicators and in a completely new environment. They also learned and rehearsed the music mostly on their own! Way to go! Thank you for all of your hard work! Rylie Benson received a Superior Rating (I) on her flute solo, Rondeau. Landon Geisel received an Excellent Rating (II) on his clarinet solo, Chorale from "Jupiter." The Woodwind Choir received a Superior Rating (I) on their ensemble March from "Scipio." The Woodwind Choir consisted of Rylie Benson, Carly Mead, Addison Borland, Penny Cyrus, Landon Geisel, Natalie Boltenhouse, Maci Canterbury, and Hannah Aumann. The Brass Choir received an Excellent Rating (II) on their ensemble, Spring from "The Four Seasons." The Brass Choir consisted of Aubrey Johnston, Dylan Carroll, and Olivia Flannery. The Flute Choir received a Good Rating (III) on their ensemble, Spring from "The Four Seasons." The Flute Choir consisted of Rylie Benson, Carly Mead, Addison Borland, and Penny Cyrus.

Thanks to the talented cast of Jungle Book Kids, today the entire middle school enjoyed an afternoon performance featuring some of their very own classmates. Check out the show tonight and tomorrow night at 7:00 PM.

The Century Resources Fundraiser items have been delivered and are ready for pickup at your convenience. We will be here until 4pm. Please call if you cannot make it today or have questions. 740-773-9854
The Middle School Century Resources fundraiser items are scheduled to be delivered tomorrow, Thursday, April 3rd. Students who sold items will need to pick them to be up by 4pm in the MS office. Students who sold minimal items should be able to take them home on the bus. Many of the items will need to be refrigerated. I will send out a message on the MS Facebook page as soon as they are ready for pickup.
Congratulations to the tremendously talented Zane Trace Middle School and High School students who participated in the Ohio Music Education District 16 Honor Band Concert on Saturday, March 29th!
