
Congratulations to our talented Zane Trace Middle School Band students who participate in the Ross Regional Beginning Honor Band on Saturday, March 22nd! Way to go, Jasmine Gillow, Ella Joosse, Paisley Shaffer, Carsyn Graves, Kate Congrove, Emily Barker, Raylan Lee, and Madalyn Edwards! Everyone put in a full day of playing and had a wonderful time performing on stage at Chillicothe High School and working with wonderful directors from our area and special guest directors, Stephanie Smiley and Angela Zirille! Thank you for your time and hard work! Shoutout to Sam Kolis for hosting and organizing the event! It was a great day!

6th Grade American Architectural Style House Sculptures
6th grade artists built cardboard houses while learning about the different architectural styles found in the community. Once the houses were built, students took on the role of realtor by writing property listings and the task of persuading their classmates to buy their houses. Students also got for their favorite houses. Congratulations goes to Naomi Turner - Best of Show, Liz Wertman- Most Realistic, Kobey Shanton-Most Creative , and Nate Laird- Best Realtor.









Advocating for the students of Zane Trace sometimes requires heading to the state capital. Yesterday in Columbus, our school was represented by Mr. Wertman, Mr. Tatman, and Mr. Foreman who met with Congressman Bob Peters, Congressman Mark Johnson, and Senator Shane Wilkin to discuss the educational future of our Zane Trace Pioneers.

Great job to the ZTMS quiz bowl team on their second place finish today. Only one point separated them from first place. Their amazing work was rewarded with a tasty lunch at Los Mariachis. Quiz bowl members include seventh and eighth graders: Addy Borland, Leah Congrove, Aubrey Johnston, Ryker Larson, Jace Pernod, Lily Smith, Case Woods, Aaron Oldenkamp, and Gavin Waller with advisor Mr. Dennis Foreman.

In the event of inclement weather please note:
-a school cancellation will result in the science fair being rescheduled
- a two-hour delay would mean the science fair is still on and judges will report at 10:00 a.m.


Zane Trace Local Schools will be closed on Wednesday, February 12th. Students should be completing remote assignments for today and tomorrow. Thanks and stay warm and safe!

The 8th grade boys basketball tournament game for tonight at Unioto has been postponed due to weather concerns. The game is re-scheduled to be played following the consolation game which starts at 5:00pm at Unioto.
