ZTMS competed in an online challenge from October 1-November 30. The Vocabulary Bowl challenged students to master words to improve their understanding of language and strengthen their word selection when writing. Overall, our school finished 5th in the entire state of Ohio and these were the top three finishers for 7th and 8th grade:

Science Fair time is taking flight in seventh grade. ✈️ Paper airplanes,
fake skin in the lab,
plants,
ghosts,
basketball/football, and
food are some of the various topics of interest this year. This is proof that learning can be fun!




Join us on Tuesday, December 9th at 7pm for the 5th-12th Grade Band Holiday Concert! The band members have been working hard and are excited to share their music with the community! The concert is free. At 6pm, there will be a bake sale, pizza, and nachos available. We will also raffle off a lottery tree during the event. We are raising money for new uniforms.
Congrats to Sam Goodman, Madalyn Lombardo, Andrea Carroll, and Isobel Quinn on their acceptance and participation in this weekend's Ohio University Honor Band Festival. They get to perform on Saturday, December 6th at OU's Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium at 4pm! Way to go!

Eighth graders at ZTMS kicked off December with a field trip to Columbus where they enjoyed watching the play "A Christmas Carol."

ZTMS enjoyed watching an indoor parade featuring Macy's Day parade balloons designed and built by third grade pioneers, disguised turkeys created by kindergarteners, amazing floats made by fourth and fifth grade talented and gifted students, the awesome music of the marching band, and Santa himself!









The rain today can't stop Mr. Bennett's 7th grade Ancient World History class from exploring the Colosseum in Rome on their virtual field trip!
