Lexia Reading for Summer

Your child has been working on Lexia Reading during the past several weeks here at school and hopefully at home as well.  Over the summer, please see that your child spends a minimum of 60 minutes per week on this program. The students really seem to like the program and the activities on the program.  This is an easy way to continue learning over the summer in a fun way.

A Note from the Principal

Wow!  Can you believe how quickly this school year has passed?  As you can see from the list of activities for the month of May, many things are taking place here at school as well as busy spring schedules at home.  Please encourage your child to continue to work hard in the classroom and keep up on assignments.  We want to make this month a productive one.

I would like to take this opportunity to say “Thank you” for making this a good year and for all the time and effort you have put forth in assisting us with the education of your child.  As you know, education and academic expectations have really increased since you and I were in school.  We, as parents, have to take a more active role in supporting these expectations.  Our challenge is to continue to work with our children at home to ensure that they grow to meet these expectations.  Once again, thanks for your effort.  Have a great summer and keep your children READING!
